Brian Schultz, associate professor, educational leadership and development, was featured in the March/April 2009 issue of the UIC Alumni Magazine and the 2009 issue of Momentum, the UIC College of Education magazine. Guccione, who sings professionally in the Chicago area, has created a business called OperaGram, for which she delivers personalized songs for special occasions.

Erin Claudio, instructor, health, physical education, recreation, and athletics, was featured in a story and photograph published in the April issue of Cafe magazine. The story reported on how Claudio has made a business by filtering waste vegetable oil that can be used to power a biodiesel engine.
