NEIU Celebrates Diversity at Chicago Summer Festivals

Summertime in Chicago is synonymous with street festivals and parades celebrating various cultures across the city. This year, more than ever before, Northeastern has gotten out on the street to join the fun.

In June NEIU partnered with B96 radio and had a float in the Puerto Rican Day Parade, and earlier this month NEIU built its own float for the Bud Billiken Parade on the city's South Side.

In addition to the parades celebrating the Hispanic and African-American cultures, Northeastern is getting involved in street festivals. NEIU recently had a booth at the Korean Festival, held on Bryn Mawr just east of campus, and will have a presence at the Taste of Polonia over Labor Day weekend.
