The January 28 issue of The Korea Herald quoted Sangmin Bae and Martyn de Bruyn, assistant professors, political science. They said lessons learned from the European Union could be used in working toward an eventual reunification of North and South Korea.
Barbara Cosentino, assistant director, career services, provided advice to job seekers in a story published on February 3 by the Medill News Service. She said that the government is one of the few employers that is not laying off employees.

Pianist Inna Faliks, instructor, music, was featured with cellist Wendy Warner on WFMT-98.7FM on February 23. The duo gave a live performance of music by Beethoven, Chopin and Debussy.
A forum held on the NEIU campus on February 23 was featured in news reports on WLS-TV ABC7, WBBM-780AM and the Chicago Tribune. The forum included Democratic, Republican and Green party candidates vying for the 5th District congressional seat.
The Emotions, who performed a benefit concert on campus for the Donn F. Bailey Legacy Hall at the Carruthers Center for Inner City Studies, were featured in an article published in the Chicago Defender on February 25.
Steven Brown, professor, educational leadership and development, and Howard Bultinck, assistant professor, educational leadership and development, interviewed John Tinker and Kenneth Starr for a feature story that was broadcast on WGTD-91.1FM Wisconsin public radio in February. Brown and Bultinck's interview was about the debate over the Constitutional rights of public school students.
A University conference titled "The Past and Future of Revolutions" was featured in an article published in In These Times on March 4.
Omar Duque, NEIU Board of Trustees, was featured in a story published on OBSNews.com on Thursday, March 5. Duque will serve as a panelist for the 19th Annual Legislative Conference for the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
Lorn Coleman, director, career services, was interviewed for a story that was broadcast on the WLS-TV ABC7 evening news on Friday, March 6. The story featured the Mid-American Educators' Job Fair held on the NEIU campus that day.
